Toggling the request stage invitation feature
It can be difficult to tell who to invite to the stage. Therefore, it is possible to allow viewers to request an invitation to make it easier.
This feature allows viewers of your webinar to “raise their hand”, letting you know they want to appear on stage.
Before the webinar
In the webinar wizard, navigate to ‘Webinar’ > ‘Webinar settings’
Toggle the switch next to ‘Allow viewers to request to go on stage’
Please note! This setting only applies to webinars that haven’t started yet. If your webinar has already started, use the webinar settings on the webinar page instead. This also counts for dry runs, even if you start a completely new one.
During the webinar
On the webinar page, click the cogwheel icon in the bottom right corner
Choose ‘Webinar settings'
Toggle the switch next to ‘Allow viewers to request to go on stage’
Responding to a request to appear on stage
You will receive an alert when a viewer requests to appear on stage. This viewer will then appear in the ‘Requested’ group in the ‘Stage’ list.
Accepting a request to appear on stage
Open the ‘Attendance’ tab in the sidebar
In the ‘Stage’ tab, find the viewer in the ‘Requested’ group
Click the spotlight icon to invite the viewer to the stage
Choose whether to invite the viewer with only audio or both video and audio
Check this article to read more about managing the viewers on stage.
Declining a request to appear on stage
Open the ‘Attendance’ tab in the sidebar
In the ‘Stage’ tab, find the viewer in the ‘Requested’ group
Click the ‘X’ button to decline their request
Toggling the allow viewers to screenshare feature
It is also possible for viewers to come onto stage and share their screen. There are two ways to do this, before the webinar or during the webinar. If the setting is toggled inside the streaming page it will override the setting in the webinar wizard, but not toggle it in the webinar wizard, allowing for maximum flexibility.
