There are three methods to share music and/or audio from your computer during your webinar. Choose the one that suits you the best.
When using screen sharing, you can only share the audio of a single browser tab at a time. You can change what you share as you go.
When using video injections, the audio has to be part of a pre-recorded video. This offers better quality than screen sharing, but you have to prepare it ahead of time.
When using RTMP streaming, you can share any audio on your system at any time with the best possible quality. You can also change what you share as you go. RTMP streaming is available as an add-on in the Premium plan and included in the Enterprise plan.
With screen sharing
To share audio with screen sharing, all you have to do is open a browser tab with the audio and/or music you want to share during your webinar, use the screen sharing feature and make sure to check the ‘Share tab audio’ checkbox when selecting what tab to share. You can read more about screen sharing here.
Please note! Screen sharing only allows you to share the audio of a single browser tab. You cannot share the audio of other windows or the entire system.
With video injections
Sharing audio with video injections requires you to record and/or create a video with what you want to share ahead of time. You can then upload this video to WebinarGeek or another video hosting service and play the video during your webinar. You can read more about video injections here.
Tip! We recommend uploading your video to WebinarGeek rather than third-party video hosting services.
With RTMP streaming
RTMP streaming is an advanced method of streaming with higher quality and more freedom. It requires more setup than browser streaming, but has a great payoff.
While streaming with RTMP, you can use hardware and/or software to customize your stream. One such way to customize your stream is sharing your system’s display and audio. This means you can share music and/or audio with higher quality than when using the screen share function and more freedom both of the other options, as you can switch what you share at any time while also being able to share more than just a browser tab. You can read more about RTMP streaming here.
