Don't have a recording for your automated or on demand webinar yet? Then you can create one through a live webinar in WebinarGeek. Do you already have a recording or replay? Then look here.

Learn more about creating on demand webinars here and more about automated webinars here!

1. Creating a new recording

  • To make a new recording, you first have to create a live webinar. If you haven't done this before, you can find all the steps here or watch our videos. Or go to your videos page and click '+ New video' > 'Recording'.

  • You don't need to have viewers or registrations to make a recording. If you only want to make a recording, you can set the access settings of the live webinar to ‘Private’. It's not necessary to set up the registration page and emails because you will only go ‘live’ for yourself.

  • Schedule a broadcast at the time you want to record. When the starting time has passed, you can schedule a new broadcast. After publishing the webinar, you can go live. You hold the presentation as you normally would, but without an audience. Click here for more information.

2. Using interaction and video injections

  • Start your video injections at the right time. You cannot add these later on. Video injections added through our own video upload will be part of the download, but video injections added through YouTube URLs will not. We recommend using our own video upload system if you’re planning to download the replay after holding a webinar.

  • Interactions that you use are included in the replay. You can adjust the start and duration of these interactions later when editing the automated or on demand webinar.

3. Something went wrong during my webinar, what should I do?

  • If something goes wrong during the webinar, you can schedule a new broadcast and go live again. Please note! Resuming or restarting the recording is not intended to be used if the presentation has gone wrong.

4. When will my recording be available?

  • The replay will become available after the webinar has ended. This takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The replay can now be linked to your on demand or automated webinar. Here's how to do that.

Quality of the recording

If you make a recording via WebinarGeek, it will be a recording of a live stream. So make a short recording in advance as a test to see if the quality is good. In this article, you will find tips for streaming in higher quality.

If you want to make even higher quality recordings, it is best to use an external recording program. For example, you could use OBS, Camtasia, QuickTime or iMovie. This is especially recommended for screen recordings. In this article, we explain how to use external videos.
