A channel is a page where your target audience can find a list of all your webinars. It’s a great way to give your audience a good overview of what you have to offer. They have the option to register for webinars and webinar updates.

Collecting channel leads

You have the ability to allow visitors to subscribe to channel updates, in order to generate a list of your channel leads. At the top of the main menu, choose 'Channel' and next, click on the channel settings. Make sure to enable 'Build a list of webinar leads' to get started collecting channel leads. Visitors can subscribe to the channel through the button on the channel page.

Add channel leads to an email list

Automatically add your channel leads on your mailing list. After creating a connection with one of the available marketing tools, you can set a trigger.

This can be done in your account. In the top right, choose ‘Account’ > 'Integrations'.

Next, click on the connected integration you’d like to add a trigger for and choose 'Add new trigger'. Select 'New channel lead', choose the desired action and add the trigger.

Window showing various triggers for the Mailchimp integration in WebinarGeek, 'new channel lead' is selected.

Send out an update email

You can send out an update email to your channel leads after adding a webinar to your channel. Go to the appropriate channel and select ‘Invitation emails’. Click ‘Send email’ for a webinar to send out an update email to your channel leads. Click on 'Preview email' to see a preview of the email.

You can send an update email once per webinar. Currently, the update email cannot be edited. The email will be sent using the address noreply@webinargeek.com as sender.

Exporting channel leads

In the main menu, choose 'Channel' and click on 'Statistics'. Choose 'All channel leads' to get a full overview. Select ‘export to CSV’ to download all leads as a .csv file.

In the CSV file you’ll find the email of the lead and time of subscription. The column ‘Subscribed’ indicates if someone is still subscribed (or has unsubscribed from the channel).

Blocking channel leads

You can prevent channel visitors from subscribing to your updates by adding them to your blocklist. When email addresses and domains on your blocklist try to subscribe to your channel, they will receive the error message “Email is not on the list of invited addresses”. Here you can read how to edit your blocklist.

Existing leads will not be affected. You can remove existing channel leads in the channel statistics. Go to your channel > ‘Statistics’ > ‘All channel leads’ and click on the ‘Unsubscribe’-button next to the email address.
