Why we updated the registration page
After 10 years of building webinar software and looking at data from thousands of webinars, we’ve come to understand the best way to handle registration. The new update uses this knowledge to optimize the webinar experience for both hosts and attendees.
The improvements include:
Better user experience
A cleaner design, faster loading and full mobile support make it easier than ever for visitors of your registration page to register for the webinar.
Increased conversion
An improved registration flow motivates more visitors to complete their registration.
Consistent branding
The new registration page matches the webinar page so that the registration and viewing flow feels consistent.
More customization options
The new registration page offers more customization options, allowing you to adjust it to your branding and needs.
Advanced embed options
The new registration page offers multiple embed types that can be used in different situations.
The big changes
Design
The registration page has been redesigned to make it easier to use and more up-to-date. It changes based on the device the visitor uses, meaning that it looks good and works well no matter if the visitor is using, for example, a computer or a tablet. The branding of the registration page has also been changed to match the webinar page, which gives your attendees a more consistent experience.
Registration process
The registration form is now split up into two parts. When someone visits the registration page, they first enter their email address and then click a button to continue their registration. This opens the rest of the registration form, where they enter the other necessary information such as their first name.
This approach was chosen based on years of experience and research: by splitting the registration process into smaller and easier steps, there is less of an obstacle for visitors to register for your webinar, increasing your conversion rate. Our numbers show that registration pages have become much more successful since the change!
Also, the confirmation page is now part of the registration page. You no longer have to edit it separately to match your registration page, because it automatically looks the same!
New features and options
The new registration page offers a lot of new features that can be used to customize the page to your liking and improve the user experience. These features include:
Banner image
The new banner image changes depending on the colors you choose for your registration page and the size of the screen the visitor is using. This means it’ll look great no matter what!
“About” section
This section lets you add information about your webinar, allowing you to catch the visitor’s interest. You can change the appearance of the text, which makes it even easier to get the attention of your page’s visitors.
Presenter roster
This section automatically shows the webinar team, building credibility and letting your audience know who will be speaking.
Agenda
This section can be used to show the timeline of your webinar, so that your audience knows what subjects to expect and when. In the case of a webinar series, you can add a separate agenda for each webinar in the series.
Localization
All standard text on the registration page is available in multiple languages. It automatically changes based on the browser language of the visitor, the webinar language and/or the visitor’s chosen language, which means the page will be understandable for anyone in the world!
New embed options
The new embed options perfectly match the new style of the registration page. There are three different options so that you have one for each situation:
Button
This option lets you show a button on your website which opens the registration form in a pop-up when clicked.
Inline embed
This option embeds the registration page to your website, much like the old version but with improved visuals.
Custom link
This option lets you add a text link to your website that opens the registration form when clicked. It sounds simple, but can be used for advanced customization by using HTML and CSS to change its appearance to fit your website.
We’ve also made it easier than ever to edit your embed with a new embed builder. It lets you change everything about your embed in a user-friendly way, with options such as:
Custom colors
Custom text for the button and link embed options
Localization
Custom confirmation pages

That’s it! Creating a new webinar that uses the new registration page is easy.

Changes to webinar configuration
Switching to the new registration page means you’ll be able to enjoy lots of improvements, but you might have to get used to a few changes in how things work when you create a new webinar or edit an existing one. Editing these things will be different:
Confirmation page
The confirmation page is now included in the registration page, so it can’t be separately edited anymore. It changes based on your registration page.
Countdown page
The countdown page currently can’t be edited, but we plan on adding customization for it in the coming months.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
If you have the LinkedIn Insight Tag enabled, you’ll need to make some changes to the settings. This article explains what you have to change.
