It is possible to set the background of your camera during your webinar. Simply click on the rightmost icon in the preparation room or the fourth icon from the left in the live environment to activate a virtual background.

Choosing a virtual background

To set a background, follow these steps:

  1. Click the rightmost icon in the preparation room or the fourth icon from the left in the live environment.

  4. A menu will open where you can choose an image to upload. This has to be a JPG or PNG file, ideally 1920x1080px and max. 2 MB.

  5. Click on your uploaded image to set it as your virtual background.

Please note! You can only upload one image. If you upload another one, the previous image will be replaced.

The background is disabled or does not work

Setting a background can be resource intensive for an older or less “powerful” computer. If we detect that your computer has trouble handling the blurring of the background, the feature will be disabled and an error will appear. This is done to ensure your webinar quality and stability will not be affected.

A quick fix can be closing all unnecessary tabs and apps on your computer and refreshing the page, however, often the best solution is to use a more powerful computer. Please also see our system requirements.
