WebinarGeek automatically detects the correct time zones for the registration page and channel visitors!

Timezones can be confusing sometimes, both for the presenter and the visitors. Especially when they aren't automatically converted on the registration page and channel. Luckily, WebinarGeek will now automatically detect the timezones.

As a user, presenter, moderator and viewer you’ll all have your own timezone and everything will be adapted on the basis of the timezone used.

This feature is live and will be displayed on all the old, current and future registration pages for all types of webinars: live, automated and on demand.

The registration page will automatically use the local time of the visitor, that’s how the visitor will know immediately at what time the webinar starts in their timezone. The timezone will also be saved for all future communication, so these will also display the correct time and date. For example, think about the following communication moments:

In the 'Statistics' for your webinar you can see for each individual registration from which timezone they registered.

In your settings you can set your own timezone. Click on 'Account' > 'My account' and choose 'Settings' under 'MY ACCOUNT'.

Under 'Timezone', select the timezone in which we should display the dates and times.

In some countries, daylight saving time is used. For example, a European country like The Netherlands will use Central European Time for their timezone, using the abbreviation CET, including daylight savings time (+1 hour) this would become CEST.

There are countries with a 12 hour and a 24 hour format, for a 12 hour format, AM/PM indicators would be added.
