Profile picture (Avatar)

In addition to your username, you can set a profile picture (also called an avatar) for yourself and your team members to further personalize your webinars.

If no profile picture is set, the system will display the initials of your (chat) name.

There are two ways to set a profile picture:

  • Uploading a profile picture in WebinarGeek

  • Use Gravatar to set up a profile picture

A profile picture uploaded in WebinarGeek will override your Gravatar image.

Uploading a profile picture in WebinarGeek

You can upload a profile picture in several places, such as:

  • The webinar team list

  • The registration page editor

  • The account and user section

Your profile picture is saved per email address, so you only need to upload it once.

To upload a profile picture:

  1. Go to e.g. "Account".

  2. Hover over the profile picture.

  3. Click to edit the image.

  4. Upload an image from your device.

  5. Click "Save".

Please note! Transparent images are not supported. Transparent areas may display your initials or a Gravatar image instead.

Using Gravatar

Gravatar stands for “Globally Recognized Avatar” and lets you use the same profile picture across the web. It's also available to viewers, so if they set it up, their picture will automatically appear in places like the chat during the webinar.

To use Gravatar:

  1. Create an account on Gravatar (if you don't already have one).

  2. After logging into your Gravatar account, you have the option to add an avatar. Click here for more information on how to do this.

  3. Use the same email address in WebinarGeek.

Your Gravatar image will then automatically appear in WebinarGeek as the profile image.

Please note! Your avatar is connected to your email address. If you use another email address to participate in the webinar, the Gravatar you've set up will not be visible.
