While webinars are primarily designed to have a limited number of speakers and a large number of listeners, we’ve also made it possible to quickly and easily host an interactive session or with WebinarGeek.

An interactive session is a sub-type of a live webinar. By choosing this setting while creating your live webinar, it will automatically:

  • Allow all viewers to join the stage at any time without needing permission

  • Allow all viewers on stage to share their screen

  • Allow all viewers to see a list of the other viewers

In other words, this option will immediately enable all the features that you would normally have in an online. Want to know more about the experience of the participants? Check out our viewing experience article.

These settings can still be changed after creating the webinar in ‘Webinar’ > ‘Settings’.

Hosting an interactive session

Hosting the interactive session is extremely similar to hosting a webinar.

When the date/time of the interactive session arrives, open the webinar page with the orange button.

Use the preparation room to select the correct devices for your video and audio, then simply start the webinar.

Your participants will be able to join the stage with video and audio whenever they want. They will also be able to share their screen at any time and see the other participants.

Make sure to end the webinar once your session is done!

Changing the stage settings during the session

If you ever need the participants to lose their ability to appear on stage at any time, you can open the webinar settings on the webinar page by clicking the cogwheel in the bottom right, then picking ‘Webinar settings’. Use this menu to control your participants’ abilities during the session.

The recording

Your interactive session will be recorded just like your webinars are. This means that you can easily share the recording with the session participants at the end of the webinar.
