Availability on demand webinar

You can configure the availability of your on demand webinars, both indefinitely and for defined periods.

Written by Dina

When creating/editing your on demand webinar you have the option to configure the availability. You can modify the availability in two ways. One is the date the on demand webinar becomes available, the other is setting an end date for the on demand webinar.

Overview of the availability settings for an on demand webinar

Setting a start date for an on demand webinar

With this feature, participants will be able to subscribe for the on demand webinar but will not be able to watch it until the specified date and time. Subscribers will see the countdown page when the start date hasn’t passed and be able to add the date for the webinar to their calendar.

  1. Select your webinar and click on 'Edit webinar'.

  2. Navigate to the 'General' section.

  3. Scroll down to ‘Make webinar available later’, flip the switch and choose a date for the webinar to become available.

If you want to turn the feature off, simply turn off the switch. When turned off, the on demand webinar will be available immediately after the participant registers for it. Subscribers that registered before you turned off the start date will also get access immediately.

On demand webinar availability reminder

When configuring an on demand webinar to have a specific start date, you might want to notify your viewers the moment the webinar becomes available for viewing. You can do this by using the on demand reminder email. Read more about that here.

Limited viewing time

Prevent multiple people from viewing the on demand webinar with a single registration. Set a maximum viewing time for your on demand webinar.

Restrict viewing time switch under Webinar settings, with a field to enter the maximum number of minutes

  1. Select your webinar and click on 'Edit webinar'.

  2. Navigate to the 'Webinar' section.

  3. Click on 'Webinar page'.

  4. Click on the switch under 'Restrict viewing time' below 'Webinar settings', and enter the maximum number of minutes.

We recommend a viewing time of the total recording length plus 25%. This allows someone to scroll back in the recording, but won't allow them to watch your webinar more than once.

Limited watch period

You can set a maximum viewing period after registration for your on demand webinar. This way, the webinar will only be available during the period you configure. It prevents viewers from always being able to watch the webinar.

  1. Select your webinar and click on 'Edit webinar'.

  2. Navigate to the 'Webinar' section.

  3. Click on 'Webinar page'.

  4. Click on the switch by 'Limit period for viewing' under 'Webinar settings' and enter the maximum number of days.

This is calculated exactly on the day and minute. For example, if you register today at 1:00 PM and you are allowed 2 days of viewing, you can watch the webinar until the day after tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
