It’s possible to set a broadcast schedule for live and automated webinars. The schedule is a combination of individual and recurring broadcasts.
For example, you can plan a broadcast specifically for the 26th of May at 6:30 PM, and set it up so that every Friday evening around 8:00 PM there will be a weekly broadcast.
Learn more about creating automated webinars here!
One-time broadcast
Select the webinar you want to edit.
Click on 'Edit webinar'.
Scroll down to 'Date and time' under 'General'.
Click on '+ Add an extra broadcast'.
If you’d like to add a one-time broadcast, in the drop-down menu choose 'On' and select the date and time.
Just-in-time broadcast
To add a Just-in-time broadcast to an already existing automated webinar, you can follow the steps:
Navigate to your automated webinar.
Click on 'Edit webinar'.
Scroll down to 'Just-in-time' under the 'General' tab.
Enable Just-in-time broadcasts.
Choose the available time for the broadcasts.
Please note! Just-in-time webinars are only available for automated webinars. You can read more about them here.
Recurring broadcast
Recurring broadcasts are broadcasts that automatically get planned again every set amount of time, like every week or month. You can add recurring broadcasts to both live and automated webinars.
Select the webinar you want to add a recurring broadcast to
Click 'Edit webinar'
Scroll down to 'Date and time'
Click '+ Add an extra broadcast'
Select ‘Every’ in the first dropdown menu
Use the second dropdown menu to select whether you want the broadcast to occur every day, week or month. When you select ‘week’, you will be asked to pick a day of the week the recurring broadcast should take place on. If you select ‘month’, you will be asked for a specific date it should take place on each month.
Use the final two dropdown menus in the top row to select the time for the recurring broadcast
Choose when you want the recurring broadcast scheduling to begin
Optionally choose an automatic end date or leave it on ‘Never’
Click ‘Save’
You can add as many recurring broadcasts as you want.
Please note! If you set your recurring broadcast for the 31st of each month, it will happen on the last day of the month in months that don’t have 31 days.
This also goes for February: if you schedule the broadcast for the 29th, 30th, or 31st, it will take place on February 28th. In leap years, they will take place on February 29th.
Change time recurring broadcast
In order to change the time of a recurring broadcast, you will have to create a new recurring broadcast with the desired schedule. You can then either set an end date for the old recurring broadcast if you want to keep the existing broadcasts or delete the old recurring broadcast if you don't want to keep them.
Cancel a recurring broadcast
Select the webinar you want to edit.
Click on 'Edit webinar'.
Scroll down to 'Date and time' under 'General'.
Click on 'Cancel broadcast'.
A pop-up will appear where you can click on 'Cancel broadcast' again. Afterwards, another broadcast is created to match the configured number of visible broadcasts on the registration page.
Please note! Subscribers are not notified of the cancellation. You can directly send out a custom reminder email to notify them.
Excluding specific dates
To make it an automated webinar as 'real' as possible, you can exclude certain data from your broadcast schedule in the next option. You can add, for example, holidays or days on which no moderator is available for the chat.
Please note! You cannot exclude dates where a broadcast was already created. We recommend adding the excluded dates before setting up the schedule.
After creating the broadcast schedule broadcasts will be automatically scheduled that match your planning. You can always remove individual broadcasts or change the schedule later.
Limit number of recurring broadcasts for visitors
For a recurring broadcast schedule, you obviously don’t want your viewers to choose from hundreds of options during the registration phase.
That’s why you can use the ‘Limit number of broadcasts visible on the registration page’ setting to prevent this from happening. This article explains how to configure it.
Default replay settings
When creating your webinar, you set the replay settings. You can change these settings for new episodes added later. You can do this with the default replay settings. If you want to change the default replay settings, follow the steps below.
Select the webinar you want to edit.
Click on 'Edit webinar'.
Navigate to the 'General' tab and click on 'Default replay settings'.
This way you can choose until when your subscribers can watch the replay of the broadcasts of your broadcast schedule. With the standard replay settings, you also have the option to change the email address you entered when you made the webinar initially.
