When creating an on demand webinar, you have to add a recording. Make sure this is done before sharing the registration link.

The following options are available when it comes to adding a recording:

  • Recording of a live webinar: You have a recording of a live webinar. You can opt to use this for the on demand webinar. The slides and interactions that were used during the live webinar are included in the on demand version.

  • Uploaded video: You can upload a video file and use it for your on demand webinar. You can read how to upload a file in your WebinarGeek account here.

  • External video URL: You have a pre-existing video you'd like to use. You can enter this as a Youtube link or other link, so long as this directs to a .MP4 file (preferably using x264 video and AAC audio).

  • HLS video: You have a pre-existing HLS video you’d like to use. You can enter the link to a HLS playlist so long as the URL contains ‘.m3u8’ and the link is https. It will not work if the link is http or ‘.m3u8’ is not present in the URL.

  • You don't have a recording: In this case, you have the option to create a live webinar and hold it without viewers, after which you can use the recording for the on demand version. This article contains more information about this approach.
